Top Ten Things to happen at Albany State University in 2010

With the new year approaching, Real 92.7 wanted to break down some of the events that happened in 2010 at Albany State University. *list is in no particular order*

1. Miss ASC (Albany State College) Annette Jones White regaining her title:  Albany State University Homecoming 2010 was a very special event this year.  Annette Jones White regained her title as Miss ASC at the 2010 coronation of Miss ASU Ali'Yah Arnold. In 1961 Ms. Annette crowned Miss ASC, however, that same year she participated in a civil rights protest with some of her schoolmates and was stripped of her title.

2.  Homecoming Concert 2010-Rick Ross and Monica: On October 7, 2010 Rick Ross and Monica hit the stage in hyper gymnasium for an unforgettable homecoming concert. The crowd was hype and the performers were on point. I wonder what artist are going to be here next year!

9 CD'S That Would Look Great in a Big Red Stocking!

We here at Real 92.7 would like to offer you a list of hot stocking stuffers for the Christmas season. (listed in no particular order)

1.   T.I - No Mercy: Even though T.I was sentenced for having drugs on him that still hasn't stopped him from releasing his CD No Mercy. This album has 14 songs including the smash hit Get Back Up featuring Chris Brown. The CD has gotten good reviews and people are loving the change in flow from T.I in a couple of songs. This is definite stocking stuffer for your homeboy or yourself.

2.  Michael Jackson -Michael: This album features 10 track. The first single off the album is Hold My Hands ft. Akon. I remember hearing the song, i think, well anyways when Michael was recording his CD he had note that stated he wanted Hold My Hands to be his first single. The record label full filled the King of Pop's request.

3.  Diddy Dirty Money- Last Train To Paris: I have been personally awaiting for this album to hit the shelves this year. The album has 16 songs to keep you moving. However, I am very disappointed that my song Love Come Down is not included in the album, thats my s#%t. Anyways, the album definitely seems to be promising. Last Train To Paris has have all your favorite hits plus more jams that are sure to please. You can definitely stuff my stocking with this CD.

Albany State University named SBN National Champions

Our Albany State University golden rams had an amazing season this year. They were 11-1 this season and and a 10-0 during their regular season. Even though they didnt grab the NCAA Division II national championship, they received a SBN black college National Championship title. South Carolina State University was estimated to receive this recognition as being SBN National Champs and Albany State University was estimated to be in ninth place, however, Albany State University proved all the "haters" wrong and dominated this season. Congrats to our golden rams "We Love You" and we hope you have a great year next year. GO RAMS!

Old School Hip Hop Jam of the Week: Rappers Delight by the sugarhill

In 1979 the sugarhill gang came out with "Rappers Delight". They rapped over the instrumental to "Good Time" by Chic. The song is known as the godfather of hip hop tracks, so lets honor the sugarhill this hip hop history month!

T.I's letter to his Fans!

Yesterday T.I posted a message on his TrapMuzik website to his fans titled "Notice Not The Comment of Your Enemies But The Silence of Your Friends". In the message he stated:

Thank you to all that took the time to check out my new video GET BACK UP with my homie Chris Brown. And a bigger thanks to those of you who decided to comment (good & bad). To all of you who say “He should practice what he preaches” and “How could he do something so stupid…AGAIN?” You’re absolutely right and I couldn’t agree with you more. But you know what? As history has shown us before, I find my greatest inspiration during my darkest hours. So all fans of music, T.I. or not, should be able to agree that NO MERCY will surely be my best work yet. After all isn’t that what it’s all about? If I never went to prison, never did drugs, never f’ed up again, did everything right and never made great music….would you even care enough to comment on T.I.? Doubt it, so bear that in mind while you jump to your conclusions guys. Martin Luther King once said “Notice not the comments of your enemies but the silence of your friends.” So although I’m still in touch…watching, reading and listening, I’m not concerned with what negative people say more than I am with what positive people don’t. Guess that’s enough for now… Love you all still, whether you still love me or not. REAL TALK!!! And I would like to give a special I LOVE U to @star_omg and @tinymajormama. – Tip

I agree with the quote "notice not the comments of your enemies but the silence of our friends". It speaks volumes to me because it is so true. I didn't even Martin Luther King said that. How do you all feel about the message T.I left to his fans?
